Smokey eye for summer

So..i decided to play around with some make-up today, and try a smokey eye..in summer colours. Instead of the usual metallics/browns/black i've used a pearl colour, pink and a dark purple. I really like how it turned out..hope you do too!

The three colours are MUA shade 1, Benefit buns and Bourjois 12 taupe

Ok so start off by applying your foundation base, i use Chanel pro lumiere and an eye primer, my favourite is Urban Decay Primer potion, this will get rid of any natural red pigments you have in your skin and create a clear base for your eyeshadows.

I then used Benefits High brow to define the arch in my eyebrow, apply a small line and blend with your finger. To fill in my eyebrows i used Benefits brow set in medium.

Then using a medium sized eyeshadow brush, apply the pearl colour to the very corner of your eye, and juaround your tear duct area.

Using the same size brush apply the Benefit buns colour to the middle of your eye lid, and blend well.

Using a smaller eyeshadow brush apply the Benefit buns colour along your lower lashes

Then apply Bourjois tape to the outside of your eye lid and blend upwards into the crease, and apply two coats of mascara.

Finish by applying Bronzer, a blusher with brown tones instead of pinks and a highlighter, i use Benefits moonbeam, to your cheeks and brow arch. These eyeshadow colours work alot better with a bronzed face, and will make this look perfect for summer.
